Dora Xochitl Lopez Mata is a graduate student in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at California State University, Northridge. Currently she is At Large Representative for Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS). She is interested in research on testimonios, fat studies, and spirituality. More specifically, her work examines the fat brown body in relationship with fatphobia and trauma. While at CSUN, Dora has used art as a form of self-care and resistance.
